Kunzel photo gallery from the White House
Here are photos taken by former Cincinnatian Peter Throm last week, when President George W. Bush presented Cincinnati Pops conductor Erich Kunzel with the 2006 National Medal of Arts in an East Room ceremony at the White House.
He's shown here with his wife, Brunhilde.

Ah, the mysterious Brunhilde. Until a photo of her appeared in the paper during an orchestra tour a couple of years ago, I was convinced she was a myth. But here she is again -- so she must be real.
What is that supposed to mean? Are conductors' spouses required to stick around the city for some reason? The Kunzels live in Maine and Florida. I'm assuming Brunhilde stays in those home towns for the most part, hence not many photos of her in the Cincinnati papers.
She is a lovely person, and she does come into town from time to time for special events. She always goes on tour with the orchestra, and traveled with the Pops to China and Singapore.

Thank you for removing the last 'post', it should not have been printed at all. That was not the Blog purpose, it was to view the musical prowess of Maestro Kunzel.
