CCM dean Douglas Lowry resigns
Wow, coming off a big weekend at the May Festival, this news greeted me this morning. CCM, currently in a search for a new head of the opera department, is now going to be hunting for a new dean, too.
What do you make of all this?

Post a Comment*Well, not shocking.... Lowry's been looking for a new job since the day he unpacked his cardboard box in his new office at CCM. Remember him interviewing at USC about a week after he got here??

CCM deserves so much better.
I said at the time he interviewed at USC--show him the door---NOW. CCM deserves someone who WANTS to be here...
Lowry has just kept a seat warm for 7 years--except when he was out looking for work...
And please, don't interview Nic M. for the job. Begging.....
I wish the Dean Lowry nothing but the best. His appointment to prestigious Eastman is a testimony to his talents.
I would get out of Cincinnati too at the first opportunity!
