I agree that CCM must have an excellent professional ensemble in residence. Doesn't have to be a string quartet, but it does have to be a group that is actually in residence for a significant amount of time.
I also appreciated Paavo Jarvi's comments about the kind of leadership we need.
CCM is a terrific asset to the community and a well respected music school. Perhaps the largest obstacle is that Cincinnati isn't a destination city.So it's got to be a spectacular job to get someone to move here and stay here. It's the same problem with attracting musicians.
