Joni Herschede in memoriam
Joni, who died unexpectedly on Saturday, was a big booster of the arts and also UC. She was one of the first people who shook my hand, as a then-trustee, when I received my Ph.D. diploma. Joni will be missed.

Post a Comment*Yes, Cincinnati has lost a dear and generous friend. Joni was pure energy and a warm heart. She did so much for so many people and organizations. Besides her beloved University of Cincinnati Bearcats and Cincinnati Zoo, Joni provided funding for countless scholarships to both high school and college students. Her sudden passing leaves a great void, but also many priceless memories of good deeds done and some really wonderful hats!
